Arthur graduated with an economics and business degree from Westmont College, located in the heart of Montecito. He has a tremendous business mindset and work ethic, which transferred to the real estate industry in an extraordinary fashion. An athlete at heart, Arthur received a tennis scholarship to attend Westmont, and he was chosen by coaches and teammates to represent his team as captain during his junior and senior years. Not being foreign to an excellent work ethic both on and off the court, Arthur has found that those experiences have proven to be an invaluable asset for clients looking to rent, buy and/or sell property. When Arthur began his career at Sotheby’s in the luxury rental market of Santa Barbara his naturally cordial, genuinely pleasant demeanor combined with his enthusiasm and intelligence made the perfect recipe for success. Approximately 90% of his business currently comes from past clients and referrals. Arthur joined Compass in Montecito to pursue his passion for assisting buyers and sellers with their most prized possessions. He enjoys working with both buyers and sellers and understands that it enables him to keep his hands on the pulse of the market and provide a better understanding of how buying decisions are made. He is a Realtor who acts as a professional partner, whether a client is buying or selling a home, or as in many cases, doing both at the same time.
A life-long California resident, Christian grew up in the picturesque Mesa neighborhood of Santa Barbara. He later moved to San Francisco to complete his college education and spent nearly a decade in the city, working for a renowned tech company. There, Christian refined his attention to detail, nurtured his passion for technology, and pushed the boundaries of creativity in the workplace, always striving for perfection.
Upon returning to Santa Barbara, Christian joined his family’s real estate business, diving headfirst into all aspects of real estate and property management. After obtaining his real estate broker’s license, he continued to manage his family’s holdings while expanding his knowledge of residential real estate sales at a national brokerage within Santa Barbara.
Now living in Montecito with his partner and two children, Christian is thrilled to re-engage in the residential real estate space, focusing on the luxury market within the community. He brings his comprehensive understanding of the Santa Barbara and Montecito areas to his clients. Christian’s full-service, white-glove approach is a hallmark of his business dealings, ensuring that even the most subtle client desires or requests are meticulously addressed.
Kalai originally hails from Maui, then later bounced around a few states and eventually ventured off to Australia by cargo ship with her motorcycle and wandered around for a year. Upon returning stateside, she earned her AA in Political Science at Santa Barbara City College and while working full time, later finished her BA in Business Management at Antioch University. She currently resides Santa Barbara with her better-half (and their two boys, now in college) and they enjoy everything this great town has to offer, from the ocean to the mountains and beyond – if there’s fun to be had, they get out there and make the most of it.
Her past work experience has entailed everything from the fine art of silkscreen printing; merchandise development, clothing design and international manufacturing; retail store inventory, warehouse management and liquidation. She recently spent the last 15 years as Personal Assistant / Operations Director for Suzanne Perkins, which utilized her strengths, skills and sense of humor in providing the best experience possible with every relationship, and she is honored to continue this tradition with Ron Brand and his team.
